Visited this location twice and had a bad experience with sales both times. I was never approached and offered help with the items I was interested in buying. The pickup team was more than helpful, but I am extremely disappointed with the sales floor.

The response of the company is a lie I am having to edit my review due to their false response. The product was and is the exact same! They are not a trustworthy company please spend your money elsewhere they don’t deserve a penny! We made multiple trips to the store and were prepared to purchase we had 4 of our kids with us so I wanted to think about it and do my research to make sure I was getting the best deal on the sofa I wanted so I went online and saw they price matched and since I found the same set for much less I contacted them to make the deal they said they do price match and to send them the link so I did and Omar said he was working on it and to go ahead and do the credit for the free interest so I did then after all that he comes back and says they can’t price match. I highly recommend researching online you will find everything cheaper!

I must tell you how extraordinary Brandon is. My husband and I are new homeowners. We were looking for bedroom furniture. Our first-time shopping at AFW was on Black Friday. We enter the store no one spoke. To make matters worse, we were walking around the store and not even one salesperson spoke or acknowledged us for 40 minutes!! Out of frustration, we decided to leave. As we were in route to exit, Brandon simply said, “hello”.
Brandon patiently listened as we expressed our frustration and negative experience with AFW. Brandon apologized and explained their company hassle-free sale approached. My husband and I acknowledged Brandon’s information and agree with the concept of a hassle-free sale approach. But, not speaking nor acknowledging customers is UNACCEPTABLE!!! We thanked Brandon and left AFW.
We did find a bedroom set at AFW, which we fell in love with. But, we were unable to find that particular bedroom furniture, elsewhere. A few days later we went back to AFW and asked for Brandon. We purchased the bedroom furniture we fell in love with. Also, we back to AFW and purchased living room furniture. Of course, we requested “Brandon”! My husband and I are so thankful for Brandon’s professionalism, kindness and empathy, and we look forward to continuing our great customer-salesperson relationship.

So my furniture came this am. On the way out the delivery guys asks " do you have a box spring for the bed?" I told him no, I didn't know I did. So, I'm disabled and my wife is recovering from surgery. The left the bedroom door blocked with the old bed and headboard. So I called to speak with someone and was bumped around to different sales people...to BUY one. Over the years I've spent over 10000 dollars. This experience has put a real bad taste in my mouth. Will never go back. This is the first issue, but they handled it terribly.

Almost felt as if the store didn’t want to sell an item and/or their process got in the way of solving customer needs. Amazing staff! I just wanted to share my experience here at this store. Me and my husband were at Top Golf pretending like we know how to golf ⛳️ ( we don't know lol. I was just there for the chicken sliders). I glance over and see the bright lights over there at AFW. I told my husband I'm in the mood to look for a whole new furniture set. We walked in and were greeted by a very nice salesman named Gabe. He was more than willing to explain to me the significance of the white lions and the complete history of AFW. He also helped us with our color coordination of the furniture set. He never rushed us even though > I said the gray my husband picked out looked green.(still debating the color lol) Once we made the purchase we realized we had no form of transportation due to us Ubering to Top Golf (responsible, I know). Gabe then let us know at AFW they offer Luxurious Sprinter Vans, and can help take our new furniture home tonight. From Date night to furniture night, I feel we met a lifelong friend. Thanks Gabe, I wouldn't be sitting on these Steel Grey sofas without you.

My experience at this store was piss poor. The customer service I received was awful. This was my first time in this store and I was very disappointed. I expected better service. I didn't receive any help but when I went to the check out express I was told that I had to go through a salesperson because my purchase was over $200 and they have to eat. WOW! They must not be too hungry because no one ask me anything. Overall the store has what I was looking for but the service and procedures are piss poor. My sales rep A.P. didn't make the situation any better. Just piss poor customer service and she did an awful job. I wish I could say that I had a great buying experience here. Thats why this will be my last time. Plus I did see better deals on Amazon but I went with these guys only because I needed my Purchase asap.

Notice the knob on the right. This will be an issue at some point, requiring replacement of 6 knobs. They need to do quality control inspections of their products before delivery. Because once you have it in your home good luck getting anything done about poor quality or broken items. This should NOT have left the warehouse. This is the second time I have purchased here in 4 or 5 years and both times they have delivered crap that was broken or had sharpie ink marks on very visible areas. I thought I would give another try but I won’t be buying here again.

Initially, I had A LOT of difficulty with customer service. I placed my order online not realizing that the next delivery date would be over 1 month out from my order despite that it was in stock and the MANY restrictions on having someone other than AFW deliver your furniture. I was getting upset and was ready to cancel my order until JAMIE (at the Webster, TX location) went above and beyond and maintained a great attitude the whole time. Absolutely ridiculous. I bought a queen bed set about two weeks ago. I was told everything was in stock except the bed rails that were 1-1/2 weeks out… it’s been two weeks now so I called to check on them and was just told they will be in MIDDLE OF JANUARY !Absolutely unacceptable… Now I have to load up all this dang furniture and return it. NOT COOL !
UPDATE: I’ve decided to keep the bed and wait on the rails. It’s just to difficult for me to return & then start shopping all over again.
UPDATE: My bed rails came in yesterday December 8th. Good news !!! Unfortunately today as I’m assembling it, I see the hardware kit is wrong. Wrong screws wrong washers. I called customer service and was pleasantly surprised by EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! They’re sending me new parts FedEx and were very nice, helpful, & apologetic about everything. Even offered to send someone out to assemble it for me. This guy completely fixed my opinion, repaired thier reputation, and I’m changing my one star to 4 stars. Thank you!!!

Huge Show room. Plenty of employees. The place was clean and so was the restroom. I have purchased from here before but this time I did financing so that's available. My couch was in stock so I came home with. They do offer delivery for a fee ($125.00) and set it up for you. Tons of employees but had to track someone down to help me. Unfortunately for me, the gentleman kept getting interrupted and helping other customers and paging on the loud speaker so it took longer than it should have. Overall, happy with my multi function made in America couch.

Let’s just say I will NEVER visit an AFW store again. I ordered an item online and went to pick it up the next day during my lunch hour. I drove 30 miles and when I arrived, I showed my TDL, online receipt and my credit card using my Apple Wallet. Since I did not have my PHYSICAL card on me, they would not allow me to leave with my purchase.
AFW needs to state on their website that a PHYSICAL credit card is needed at the time of pickup. False advertisement.
I wasted my time and gas. I will never buy any furniture from this store again, and will make sure my family also knows never to shop at AFW. You’ve lost a paying customer for life.

I love their furniture and the service. The only reason i gave a 2 Star is because i ordered a bookshelf and they said it would take a couple of days to get it, so i waited. I call with in 5 days and they said it was in, so i went to pick it up and when i got there, they said it wasn't there, that it would take a week to get it, after i just waited almost a week. *BUYER BEWARE*
Me and my wife spent almost $1600 on a bedroom set in July and here we are a full 3 months later and still are missing a piece. So we called and were transferred to customer service. All we asked for was a way to resolve the issue; so that we could continue to be returning customers. We asked for free delivery on the last piece of furniture (which so happened to also be the biggest piece). We were never told at the time of purchase that any of the items were on backorder. Customer service confirmed that backorders were out of their hands and that's just how they do business. That's just a scummy way to do business if you ask me. So here we are still waiting on our furniture; without a confirmed date on when it might get here.

I love AFW but it’s a shame that some of the staff ruined my experience. My sales rep Andrew N was amazing and a people person and really wanted to help with my sale. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the same enthusiasm from manager Janel or front clerk Karla. I had to be the one to ask for any solutions after I drove a total of 1.5 hours gathering ID that wasn’t even able to be used because of the front staff’s inability to listen and the lack of communication from management to staff about policies to ensure that what happened to me shouldn’t have happened.

I’m not sure what the secret sauce is with American Furniture Warehouse but we have never ever had a bad purchasing experience with them. It shows in their employees. The floor salespeople are no pressure, super helpful, honest, and communicative. The cashiers have always been nice and helpful (shout out to Denise who helped us so much with our last purchase). And the delivery personnel are excellent. They come in, ask where you want it, they set up, ask if you are happy, then tell you to have a wonderful day. Everyone always does their job with a smile and cheerful manner. Whatever this business is doing, keep doing it! Will absolutely be back!!!!!!

We purchased about $4,000 worth of furniture from them with no problem, including delivery. We also found a rug we liked, but they only had the floor sample, so we agreed to take that one. It appears that we bought it "As Is" although nobody ever told us that. We found a tear on the carpet and were told too bad, no returns. I guess it was written on the receipt - which happens to be 15 inches long and contains a bunch of fine print. My bad, I guess. At any rate, we were going to buy furniture for another room, and we will find another furniture store. Little things can create customer dissatisfaction or positive impact. They chose the former - I do not understand the logic.
Update as of 9/18. After getting a message from them to contact by email, I did so. Was told again I missed the cutoff, so tough luck.
However, I was contacted by the amazing salesperson we used who contacted the store manager and arranged for us to exchange the rug for another. Layda Valdez saved the day and picked up 3 additional stars for AFW, no thanks to the customer service department! Today we made the exchange, I can say that everything else was excellent. But only through the efforts of a salesperson who went out of her way to do the right thing.

The service at this location was a horror story! Me and my mother went to this location to get a couch and they treated us as if we were the ones that needed to service them! Yesenia was the young lady servicing us. While she was sweet, she sold us the couch, but told us we could not have it shipped until we both provided proof of lease and an Id. The next day we came with ID and proof of leases but now we were told that we would have to provide 2 Proof of IDs and lease. When asking them why we have to do this (We shopped here before and did not have to provide these items.), another sales person named Emily, who was assisting Yesenia told us, “Are you getting the couch or not?!?(EVEN THOUGH WE HAD PURCHASED IT A DAY PRIOR). So, we canceled the sale and went to another location. Such an inconvenience to have to drive 2 days straight to Webster because they did not appreciate our service nor money. BEST ADVICE I COULD GIVE IS GO TO THE KATY LOCATION THEY ARE AMAZING!

This is my 3rd time visiting and I have never “checked in” to customer pick up. I went inside after waiting 30 minutes and I was told some salespeople check the customer in and some don’t. Why not? If I paid to pick up then all salespeople should automatically check the customer in. Getting off again is an inconvenience. Now I have to wait 10-15 additional minutes. The salesman who assisted me was Jose Gonzales but his name tag said Joey. I’m really upset in the time I wasted. I paid at 3:10 and received my text. I FINALLY GOT MY PURCHASE AT 3:50. It was not busy. Wasted my time.

I called the store inquiring about whether my furniture is available yet and spoke with a lady named Sandra she offered by far the best customer service I have ever experienced. I presented a problem she offered a solution all the while with the most contagious positive energy you could hear her smile through the phone. She genuinely seemed like she was happy to help me. I cannot say enough good things about American Furniture Warehouse located on the Gulf Frwy in Webster,TX. Confronted with the task of furnishing my son’s first apartment, we entered this store. Almost, immediately we met Mr. Rick Orr, one of the salesmen there. He is an exceptional salesman. He was polite and eager to help us. After explaining our intentions, he instantly began showing us furniture to accomplish our goal. This store has beautiful furniture! His knowledge of the store inventory was extremely impressive. Admittedly, I am a picky shopper but Rick was kind, patient and never appeared annoyed. His behavior spoke volumes regarding his level of dedication towards satisfying his customers and is not easily found with most salespeople today. He definitely took the stress out of furniture shopping. It’s been a week since all of our furniture was delivered and everything looks wonderful! Compliments have already been received. Thank you Mr. Rick Orr and AFW! You have gained a forever customer and I will be referring family and friends.

We just purchased a new oversized recliner. Sale price was great, Jesse was very helpful and not pushy. Three young men delivered the chair on schedule and they were nice and professional. Only one negative comment- there’s a piece/flap of fabric on the back of the chair to cover up the frame. The bottom of the flap is supposed to wrap under the chair and Velcro to stick. Unfortunately the flap is not quite long enough to wrap under the chair to Velcro so it just hangs loose. Quality Control needs to check this at the factory.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I placed an order with this business, and there was a manufacturers defect with the table. When I contacted the company to utilize their one year warranty program, the representative named Roger and the customer service department was extremely rude and displeasing and told me that I am the one that caused the damage to the table, though the representative has no proof that this is the case. I am unsure why I am being discriminated against in regards to utilizing the warranty program when there is no basis of user damage but rather manufacturers defect. They do not honor their warranty program, predatory business practices.

Went in looking for a new couch with a vague idea of what I wanted. Robert the sales guy was fantastic, and he was able to answer all my questions and help me gain a better idea of what I was looking for. He made himself available without being pushy or aggressive. Payment and setting up delivery was quick and easy. The delivery process went very smooth. They communicated well through text and were on time with their set delivery window (they were actually here at the very beginning of that window so I wasn’t stuck waiting at my apartment all day).
