In 2022 AFW employees donated over $32,000 to Easterseals in Colorado, Arizona and Texas through the AFW Payroll Deduction Program
This year, we partnered with KPRC in Houston to surprise 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships, but we didn’t stop there. We decided we needed to deliver good news and a $2,500 scholarship to one more graduate! The twenty-first scholarship winner of the year is Jake Webster who graduated from James E. Taylor High School in Katy Independent School District. Webster is heading to Texas A&M to pursue an engineering degree.

The twentieth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Marlen Moreno who has graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston Independent School District.

The nineteenth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Toni Johnson who was a senior at Blanson Career and Technical Education High School in Aldine Independent School District.

The seventeenth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Aiden Collier who will graduate from Willis High School in Willis Independent School District. Aiden has maintained excellent grades while competing in two sports and serving as captain of the school’s football team.

The sixteenth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Anjie Liu, who is a senior at Seven Lakes High School in Katy Independent School District.

The fifteenth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Katelyn Kramer who will graduate as the salutatorian at Magnolia West High School in Magnolia Independent School District. Katelyn is headed to Stanford University where she will pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.

The fourteenth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Laura Branch who will be graduating from Grand Oaks High School in Conroe Independent School District. Laura plans to attend Western State University in Colorado and study chemistry.
Thanks to Denver7 Gives Foundation and their generous viewers who donated, $4,500 was raised to help replace some of the items they lost. We were proud to donate an additional $500 to help give this family a $5,000 shopping experience at our store.
