Greg Thow Biography

I moved to Colorado from the Midwest 12 years ago and despite hiking through the magnificent peaks and valleys for the better part of a decade never took a single photograph.  I received a point and shoot camera for Christmas about 5 years ago and from that time forward I spend more time taking pictures than just about anything.

As a hobbyist photographer it's tough sledding with the number of incredible folks taking pictures in this state.  But as I've told numerous folks even a chimpanzee could get a good image in this spectacular wilderness.  The trick is to try to take a great one… and it's certainly a pleasure to try to achieve that goal.

Software and gear has gotten so good that even an iPhone can take a tremendous shot… my “secret” is being in the right place at the right time more often than most.
