• High Plains Drifter is based from the Western Slope of Colorado where there are a lot of bluffs and cliffs. It is a high desert image but is not based on any particular area.

• The buffalo is one of many majestic animals that call the Rocky Mountains home and one of my favorite animals to paint.

• Because the style encourages dark surroundings the image of the buffalo and the background really pop, drawing the viewers’ eyes to the center and up towards a colorful sky.
• I am a Colorado based artist and although I do a wide variety of art including still life, abstract and figurative, images from the Rocky Mountains are still my favorite to make.
