KPRC 2 and American Furniture Warehouse are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships in 2022. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools. The twelfth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Radhani Kapoor, who will be graduating from Katy High School in Katy Independent School District. Radhani holds a number of leadership positions on campus including student council president, National Honor Society treasurer, and Interact Club president.
She’s also president of Choir Council and captain of the varsity swim team. While those accolades alone are impressive, one of her most notable achievements is the non-profit tutoring organization she cofounded during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The idea for the organization called “Walking With You” came in part because of opportunities Radhani had volunteering internationally.
In college, Radhani plans to study math and data analysis with a goal of using what she learns to take part in innovative research and ultimately contribute to solutions for global issues like food insecurity and disparities in education.
